Meet Renee!

Renee is a very special Shiba that you can’t help but adore! She is loving every moment of her new life and is always ready for the next adventure.
Since being released from a commercial breeder Renee has learned to LOVE her new life as a pampered house pet. She begs for attention and plays with people all the time. If she is not sleeping or rolling on her favorite bed then she is following us around the house examining everything we do. She will put her paws on us when she wants pets or a treat and sometimes she will jump into our lap.
Renee loves people and will even go up to strangers to ask for attention. At meetups she follows everyone around, observing all the activity and on occasion stopping by people to be adored and petted. She loved getting to run and play with all the other Shibas too.
Renee has been amazing with her potty training. She has learned to ask to go outside to go potty. She is also crate trained but she has no desire to be in it when people are around. She’s very content sleeping on her bed or at our feet.
Renee LOVES toys and enjoys tossing them around and shaking them. She can get nervous in unfamiliar situations but with gentle encouragement and lots of praise and treats she settles in quickly.
Renee LOVES other dogs and does best with the companionship of other confident dogs. She tends to take her cues on how to behave in new situations based on how the dogs around her react. When our dogs go outside she follows, when they are getting treats she mimics them, when she sees them being petted by us or strangers she asks for attention, etc. She loves to play with other dogs too. For this reason we would like to place her in a home with another friendly and confident dog. She has not shown any prey drive so a home with cats would be fine for her as well.
Overall Renee needs a family with lots of love and attention to give her. She loves being spoiled. She knows she has the good life and has started demanding the royal treatment. On a few occassions she has insisted on having her tummy scrated until she fell asleep.
